Bayu established a company under the name Hotwax studio. Hotwax studio, he claims, is a business that began in 2007 as a modest creative space. The creative process continues to this day, with many innovations and inventions in the creative realm of batik.
Hotwax studio batik was formed from local specialities (tradition) blended with new novelty values that are connected to the functions and demands of fashion in general.
Currently, Hotwax studio has more than three production locations, including Bantul, Jogja, and Pekalongan. Hotwax studio makes batik crafta without considering market trends. They simply make batik based on what they desire. This approach has proven to be effective, and it has even been a trend setter for several batik makers/SMEs.
