This Jepara native already adores the field of craft inventiveness, particularly those associated to the woodcraft business. He has been honing his abilities and capacity to build furniture and craft designs since receiving his sculptural education in 1997.
It wasn’t enough for Munir to have the name of the city of Jepara, which is the hub of global sculpting, so he moved to Yogyakarta to continue sharpening his abilities at the craft department of the Indonesian Art Institute.
Munir’s firm expanded to other regions of the world in 2005. He met Mike, an American designer. Munir learnt a lot about craft design and the market in Uncle Sam’s land from Mike.
The creative sector is a place that allows for fulfillment. Not only does he gain money and resources, but he also gets a sense of comfort and channeling his many interests and abilities. Munir went through several creative processes before deciding to start his own brand, LAKSA iDea Art and Home Decor, in 2016.
Munir toured extensively in international exhibition events such as IFEX, JIFFINA, Ambiente Fair Frankfurt, and Hongkong Giftshow under the umbrella of LAKSA iDea.
A high level of connection with major purchasers from the United States and Europe, such as Homegoods, Crate & Barrel, and the TJX group, demands him to continue to create the most innovative creative designs in based on market trends.
