Nurturing Crafts & Folk Art Creative City Ecosystem with Strategic Partnership

The potential of the local creative economy that is ready to be developed is the most important factor in the development of creative economic zones. This potential is the main capital to answer real needs on the ground and achieve concrete results.

Furthermore, the existence of creative space in society is needed to worship movements and activities in the creative economic ecosystem. Creative space can start from the smallest levels such as hubs and incubators, to large-scale spaces provided by the government.

All of these creative spaces are worth digitally connected to support physical ecosystems by strengthening nonphysical ecosystems.

Creative City Ecosystems

The essence of the availability of creative space is the ever-present connection and exchange between users, content, creative actors and technology. One thing that needs to be emphasized is constant connectedness, not only through an event, but ongoing activities. Access to connectivity in a living system, will accelerate the pace of innovation.

All activities that occur in creative spaces must be connected to infrastructure, both in physical form ( roads, parks, stadiums, airports and shopping centers ), as well as information and communication technology ( optical fiber, antenna, wi-fi, digital platform). The availability of these two types of infrastructure will make creative actors able to develop new ideas, enrich, and enliven existing space through the creations and collaborations that he was born between them.

This situation is important for each region as a destination, so that they can realize the capabilities in the creative economic sector that depart from their respective competencies and abilities. Hexahelix stakeholders can join a platform to meet and exchange ideas. The more open the communication platform, the more open the space for the exchange of ideas.

Not all regions have complete creative economic value chains. One region, for example, is a place for creation and another region as a place of exhibition and marketing. This condition can be bridged through a connector that can connect funding access, a place for creation and production, and bring in consumers from outside. The challenges of connections between regions and creativity can be answered by networking and building cross-community forums.

Strategies for developing a sustainable creative economic ecosystem:

  • Creating an environment ( ecosystem ) which is conducive to the creation of intellectual capital, by embracing communities, business people, and academics;
  • Mapping the potential and excellence of the region ( destination) internally and externally;
  • Determine the focus of the creative economic subsector as the superior potential that becomes the towing locomotive of other creative economic and / or economic subsectors in general;
  • Carry out cooperation and coordination between hexahelix actors, whose sustainability is ensured based on strong commitment from all actors;
  • Has a strong regulatory foundation and must be included in the strategic plan document, the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) and the Regional Strategic Plan (Renstrada) as a legal umbrella, and institutional or Regional Devices Organization (OPD) creative economic sector that can implement and maintain creative economic development efforts; and
  • Have the ability and system to process on an ongoing basis.

Creative economic ecosystems that are in the form of space and infrastructure need to be equipped with non-physical ecosystems, including:

  • Hexahelix Actor (A-B-C-G-M-F)
  • Have one role in the supply chain;
  • Have a creative economic subsector; and
  • Has leverage.
